Special Invitation to speak with Administration leaders on Child Care Issues

From our friends at GEEARS:

We are pleased to extend an invitation to a special opportunity featuring leadership from the US Department of Health and Human Services (Administration for Children and Families – Office of Early Childhood Development) and US Department of Education. During this one-hour meeting on Monday, August 23rd at 1:00 p.m.

Administration leadership will share information about and seek your feedback on the American Families Plan, which proposes additional investments in child care, supports for the ECE workforce, new partnerships with states to offer programs for three- and four-year-olds, and financial assistance to help families afford care.

GEEARS is excited to bring this opportunity to Georgia, and we hope you’ll consider lending your voice to this important conversation as well as sharing the invitation with other child care leaders in your network, including those in child care centers, family child care learning homes, Head Start, and Georgia’s Pre-K.
