The Professional Family Child Care Alliance of Georgia is seeking applicants to be “featured providers” in the Family Child Care At Home initiative (FCC-AH).  The FCC-AH initiative will help people seeking to start a licensed family child care (FCC) home in Georgia by allowing them to  “see inside” actual FCC homes and hear from currently operating FCC providers. The video vignettes will be designed to represent a broad spectrum of providers, a variety of environments, and support an explorer of FCC’s decision making process.  

 

Several providers will be selected to be featured in short video vignettes that will be posted to the PFCCAG website. The video vignettes will show currently operating FCC providers demonstrating and/or discussing questions applicants face when meeting DECAL licensing requirements or will address specific questions people exploring this career option may have

The Family Child Care At Home Featured Provider will be submitting a variety of videos and photos of her program based on specific instructions from the FCC-At-Home Specialist. Selected providers may be required to answer scripted questions and/or speak from a script. Please be aware that there are several requirements involved with this application, and if selected, multiple submissions may be requested. An honorarium of $100 will be paid for each video in which a provider is featured in this pilot effort.

 

Preference will be given to Quality Rated or NAFCC Accredited programs and programs working to obtain a quality rating or accreditation. Only complete and fully answered applications will be considered.

You must be a member in good standing with The Professional Family Child Care Alliance of Georgia (PFCCAG). If you are not a member, you can join here before submitting your application. All ethnicities and races of providers are encouraged to apply.

When you complete your application form, you will receive an email with instructions on how to submit 3 to 6 photos and a video as part of the application process.
