Lina Lane

The owner of LINA LANE’S LEARNING CENTER, Mrs. Edelina “Lina” Lane, was born in Davao del Sur, Philippines. She is a graduate of HOLY CROSS OF HAGONOY (an all-girls Catholic School) and holds an Associates in Business Management, as Associates in Early Childcare Education, and an BS degree in Early Childhood Development.

Enthusiastic and creative, she has over 35 years of experience as an international, freelance, Professional Nanny and childcare professional. Her international clients included the Asian-Pacific VP for New York Life, two renowned Asian Surgeons, various business executives and distinguished government leaders within the international community.

Lina transferred from a distinguished career as a Professional Nanny and is currently licensed with Bright from the Start (BFTS) as a 3-Star, Quality Rated, Family Child Care Learning Home (FCCLH) Director where she has won a major childcare award every year for the past 8 years.

She served as a Peers Support Network (PSN) Ambassador, Guest GAEYC Conference Presenter, LENA Grow participant, was selected as a member of the Greater Atlanta Provider’s Steering Committee chartered to improve Child Care programs across the state of Georgia and currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Professional Family Childcare Alliance (PFCCA) of GA.

As a long-standing member of the US National Association of Professional Women, and as an Omega Nu Lambda Honor Society member, Lina also holds current memberships in 7 US-based Childcare organizations and 1 International Childcare organization. Among her numerous awards and recognitions, she graduated Summa Cum Laude (2021), received the Hathccock Award for Educational Excellence (2021), was distinguished as DECAL Scholar of the Year ((2021), was awarded the Tylenol / Terry Lynne Lockoff - Teacher of the Year distinction for the state of Georgia (2021), and won Child Educator of the Year (2019).

Lina is an avid skydiver who speaks fluent Tagalog and has functional literacy in Arabic and Spanish. Her travels have taken her to 22 countries and she resides in Ellenwood GA with her husband, Charles (Lieutenant Colonel, US Army, Retired) and their 7 children.
