About Us

The Professional Family Child Care Alliance of Georgia (PFCCAG) is a Georgia non-profit in operation since 2011. Our mission is: To create a solid foundation so all Georgia’s children are nurtured and educated to become happy, healthy, and prepared to succeed.  We join all stakeholders to enhance the professionalism of family child providers and create an environment that allows the profession to thrive. Licensed family child care in Georgia offers families a unique child care opportunity that provides a home-like environment, mixed-age groups, care outside of the typical nine to five work-day, as well as the opportunity to find a provider that mirrors the family's own culture and language. 

About the Position

 

  • This is a role that will allow you to use both your leadership and managerial skills.

  • In this highly visible role, you will collaborate with local, state, and national stakeholders to help advance support for high-quality family child care as a child care option for parents. 

  • As the Executive Director, you take on the role of the “Voice of Family Child Care” in Georgia. You get to advocate for roughly thirteen hundred women-owned businesses.

  • You’ll have the opportunity to work with various governmental agencies and foundations to increase the investment in child care to the benefit of children, their families, communities, and child care providers. 

  • As Executive Director, you get to build a strategy and execute it to expand membership, grow our funding base and bring on new partners with similar goals. 

  • You’ll have the shortest commute possible; you get to work from home. (You will need reliable high-speed Internet access and good tech skills.)

  • The position is full-time and does require occasional evening and weekend meetings, so you get to work a flexible schedule based on the needs of the week. 

  • As the Executive Director, you’ll get to travel around the state occasionally, so access to reliable transportation is a must. 

  • Starting annual salary is $35,568.00 and as you grow the budget, you can increase your salary potential. 

  • Flexible leave policy.

  • Start date is May 1, 2022.

  • Relocation assistance and health insurance not currently available for this role.

  • COVID-19 vaccination required.

  • While this is a virtual position, Georgia residency is required.
