Job Description: Family Child Care COACH (BIBB County)
TARGET START DATE: January 2023
ESTIMATED HRS/WK: Approximately 32 hours a Month
LOCATION: Remote & In-Person as needed
STATUS: Independent Contractor
AMOUNT: This is a fixed fee contract of $464 a month, plus travel, for 18 months subject to satisfactory performance.
SUMMARY
The Professional Family Child Care Alliance of Georgia (PFCCAG) is “the VOICE of Family Child Care” in the state of Georgia, PFCCAG continues to advocate on behalf of the FCCLH community of Providers as a respected and capable entity championing issues that involve the personal interests, collective successes, and financial sustainment of Family Child Care Leaning Homes across the state of Georgia.
Since 2011, PFCCAG has been supporting family child care throughout the state as a professional educators operating a family child care business as a Family Child Care Learning Home. PFCCAG’s mission to create a solid foundation so all Georgia’s children are nurtured and educated to become happy, healthy, and prepared to succeed. We join all stakeholders to enhance the professionalism of family child care providers and create an environment that allows the profession to thrive.
The Family Child Care Coach plays a key role on the professional development team. The FCC Coach ensures PFCCAG helps start 8 new FCC homes in Bibb County between during an18 month period.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Establish or join a local ECE Advisory Committee representing FCC in Bibb County.

Assist with design, facilitation, and on-going delivery of PFCCAG’ evaluation plan.

Advertise and recruit at least 16 new FCC applicants. Continue recruitment if needed.

Assist applicants to meet local requirements, as applicable, including zoning, business permit, fire marshal, sanitary water, and landlord/homeowner association approval.

Assist applicants to set up effective business practices, including, but not limited to, appropriate enrollment policies, fee collection, financial record keeping, and income tax reporting.

Assist applicants with professional development training, assistance with applications for required licensing, and other ongoing advice related to opening and running an FCC home in Georgia.

Assist potential providers sign up on GaPDS and complete LOM Training.

Responding to Family Child Care applicants in a timely manner preferably within 48 hours of receiving message.

Update work report weekly

Create and produce reports and interpret data for quality control measures related to Explore-FCC project offerings.

Conduct a home visit in person or by Zoom to see the environment

Offer comprehensive technical assistance visits

Perform ad hoc projects as assigned

Commitment to PFCCAG's mission and belief in the value of Family Child Care as a vital part of the early care and education profession.

Outstanding verbal/written communication skills

Proficiency in Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Ability to manage multiple tasks, projects, and priorities effectively and professionally.

Ability to work independently or as part of a team, and with cross-cultural literacy.

Comfortable using digital tools.

Ability to meet deadlines and work in a demanding environment.

Capacity to work in a remote environment.
REQUIRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
-
Early Childhood Coach and/or Early Childhood Project Manager experience (preferred).

FCCLH Provider experience (preferred).
-
FCCLH License and LOM process knowledge.

Have a working knowledge of Teamwork system (preferred).

State and Federal Early Education Programs knowledge and experience.

Must possess a valid driver’s license and have proof of current automobile insurance.

Must have reliable transportation to travel to clients’ residences for on-site coaching, government agencies and offices related to licensing applications, and other locations as the performance of the Services may require.

Must be physically capable of performing all job duties, including, but not limited to, walking up and down stairs, bending, and lifting and carrying weight upwards of 25 lbs.

Must be able to pass a “W” Child Care Criminal Record Clearance (Working with Children).
